Show Notes:

As we build our businesses we quickly come to the realization that we just can’t do everything ourselves if we truly want to build a business and not just a glorified job.

I know very well how scary it is to make a hiring decision. I spent the first third of my career in human resources specializing in recruitment and staff development. There’s no important decision you’ll make than who to bring on board and that’s especially true when you’re an entrepreneur.

But how do you do it? How do you find, choose, and work with someone effectively?

To answer that I thought I’d go to the horse’s mouth so to speak and talk directly to a virtual assistant.
Beatrice Ten Tie is a virtual assistant who I connected with in a Facebook group.

She recently wrote a post I’d describe as a rant that talked about the big mistake entrepreneurs make by not using a VA.

She’s got an extensive background in corporate and organizational life where she built her skills in administration, organization, project management, and problem solving.

Listen in as Beatrice and I discuss…

  • Why entrepreneurs find it so difficult and actually fear working with a VA
  • When you should start thinking about getting a VA – it’s likely to surprise you
  • Mistakes made when hiring and managing a VA
  • What to consider when you know you need help but can’t seem to find the right person

As always listen all the way to the end where I’ll share your cocktail exercise and action step for this episode.
